1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.
   At your appointment, you will receive a Texas WIC card and a food package specially designed to meet your family's nutritional needs.

Breastfeeding is an amazing thing a mother can do for her baby's health, and it's not always easy. That's where your local WIC office at 110 Candelaria St in El Paso comes in. They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, WIC peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to help you breastfeed successfully. WIC's breastfeeding classes cover many topics, including different breastfeeding positions, how to get a good latch, feeding patterns and baby's hunger cues. These classes help you feel confident and empowered in your breastfeeding journey.

We offer free online classes to fit your busy schedule, and many WIC locations have classes in person, too. Online classes are free even if you are not a WIC client. Our classes cover many topics, from healthy snacks and picky eating to breastfeeding tips and more! Classes are designed to provide you with knowledge and support when feeding your little ones.

Whether you prefer to learn on your own or with the help of our nutrition and breastfeeding experts, we have options to fit your schedule and learning style. Our on-demand classes are available anytime, while our live classes provide you with the opportunity to ask questions and connect with other parents in your community. And because we know that everyone's schedule is different, we offer classes at various times throughout the week.
