Open Monday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 for lunch. Open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. Open the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Office is closed 2nd Thursday of the month from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM for staff development. Office is closed the Friday after the 2nd Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Children younger than 5, pregnant or breastfeeding mothers in Houston can benefit from the WIC program, which provides healthy food, nutrition classes and one-on-one counseling with nutritionists. Looking for healthy food, nutrition education or breastfeeding tips and support in Houston? Applying for WIC is easy! You can begin your application online or call the WIC office in Houston near you to schedule an appointment. WIC is available to many families, and if you or your children receive Medicaid, SNAP or TANF, you automatically meet the income eligibility guidelines for WIC. 1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.
   At your appointment, you will receive a Texas WIC card and a food package specially designed to meet your family's nutritional needs.

They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to support your breastfeeding journey every step of the way. WIC's classes cover a variety of topics, including:

• Baby's hunger cues and more.

We offer free online classes to fit your busy schedule, and many WIC locations have classes in person, too. Online classes are free even if you are not a WIC client. Our classes cover many topics, from healthy snacks and picky eating to breastfeeding tips and more! Classes are designed to provide you with knowledge and support when feeding your little ones.

Whether you prefer to learn on your own or with the help of our nutrition and breastfeeding experts, we have options to fit your schedule and learning style. Our on-demand classes are available anytime, while our live classes provide you with the opportunity to ask questions and connect with other parents in your community. And because we know that everyone's schedule is different, we offer classes at various times throughout the week.
