WIC is open to many families in Memphis, and if you receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you're already eligible for WIC. If you are attending your first appointment at Memphis WIC Clinic, 1313 Boykin Dr, Memphis, visit TexasWIC.org to learn what documentation is needed. During your appointment, WIC office staff will:

1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.
   At the end of your visit, you will get a food package specially designed to meet your family's nutritional needs and a Texas WIC card to use at the grocery store.

Breastfeeding is an amazing thing a mother can do for her baby's health, and it's not always easy. That's where your local WIC office at 1313 Boykin Dr in Memphis comes in. They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, WIC peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to help you breastfeed successfully. That's why we offer free online classes, even if you are not a WIC client. Many WIC offices have in-person classes, too. Our classes are designed to fit your busy schedule, with on-demand classes that can be taken whenever it's convenient for you, as well as live classes where you can connect with other parents in your community or ask questions for our nutrition and breastfeeding experts.
