Open Monday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 for lunch. Open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. Open the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Office is closed 2nd Thursday of the month from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM for staff development. Office is closed the Friday after the 2nd Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Children younger than 5, pregnant or breastfeeding mothers in Houston can benefit from the WIC program, which provides healthy food, nutrition classes and one-on-one counseling with nutritionists. WIC is open to many families in Houston, and if you receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you're already eligible for WIC. Even if you don't receive these programs, you may still qualify by meeting the income guidelines for your household. 1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.
   At your appointment, you will receive a Texas WIC card and a food package specially designed to meet your family's nutritional needs.

Breastfeeding is an amazing thing a mother can do for her baby's health, and it's not always easy. That's where your local WIC office at 10039 Bissonnet Suite 120 in Houston comes in. They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, WIC peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to help you breastfeed successfully. WIC's breastfeeding classes cover many topics, including different breastfeeding positions, how to get a good latch, feeding patterns and baby's hunger cues. These classes help you feel confident and empowered in your breastfeeding journey.

That's why we offer free online classes, even if you are not a WIC client. Many WIC offices have in-person classes, too. Our classes cover various topics, including healthy eating, breastfeeding tips and more.

Our classes are designed to fit your busy schedule, with on-demand classes that can be taken whenever it's convenient for you, as well as live classes where you can connect with other parents in your community or ask questions for our nutrition and breastfeeding experts.
